Last night was the first Startup Wednesday at 19ideas.
Great turnout. Nearly two dozen folks came together and ate pizza, mingled, pitched ideas.
There’s a buzz about the room. Two things were spoke of a lot. The struggles in the job market. The advancement of AI.
The later hopefully helping those struggling with a job search.
One pitch mentioned “open to work” but with a twist. “Open to build”.
A shift in mindset.
We can wait for those to see our talents and keep applying to jobs.
Eventually you may get an interview.
Perhaps you can be building your idea simultaneously. AI empowers us to do that now.
There’s no more excuse of “I can’t code”.
My favorite part of the night was the breakout rooms where Jonathan and Dan spoke about and showcased some of the new AI tooling we can use.
It’s fun to be around people who are optimistic about the future.
It’s an energy that feels good.
