Plants on plants

Since turning 40 I decided to make a shift in my diet. Meat is out. Plants are in.

I was only eating meat about 2-3 times a week prior so not a drastic shift.

My morning routine is where the biggest shift has happened. I’ll take a bowl of muesli, oatmeal or Rips Big Bowl and then add whatever fruit I feel like. I’ve started tossing in hemp hearts for some more protein as well.

Today I’m starting to take vitamins with my electrolytes first thing in the morning. Before coffee.

My previous start to the day was black coffee, a perfect bar and some water.

Needless to say I’m feeling way better and setting myself up for success the rest of the day.

Learning how to cook tofu has also been big part of my journey. There’s so many ways to make it taste great. Pan searing it and then putting on some sort of marinade has been my go to. Pair it with a veggie and carb like rice or potatoes.

I’m learning that making eating taste good and EASY is the key to success.

We also have purple carrot for our dinners but I’m starting to think we can ditch it. Using Gemini to help with recipes has been fun and easy.

Eliminating meat has made me focus on Whole Foods that give me energy and keep me full.

It’s all a work in progress but I’m enjoying the journey and feeling better on my mat and off it.

This is 40.
